Urbani Truffles Academy Grant Program

Contest Rules

  • Must be 21 or over and be working as a professional chef to enter.
  • Winner must verify proof of age and contest eligibility upon request.
  • Entrants may submit up to a maximum of three entry forms with different recipes, however only one prize per entrant will be awarded.
  • Entries must be submitted by December 15th, 2007; winners will be selected in October and notified by January 2008.
  • If for any reason, the Grand Prize winner is unable to claim the prize, the contest organizers reserve the right to choose a substitute winner from among all entries submitted, including those entries which have not until then been awarded any prize.
  • Travel must commence within six months of the Grand Prize award notification to the Grand Prize Winner.
  • Grand Prize includes economy air fare from any US airport.
  • Prizes may not be substituted.
  • Prizes have no cash value.
  • Prizes are non-transferable.
  • Other restrictions may apply.
  • Employees, relatives, agents and affiliates of contest sponsors, and Colangelo & Partners Public Relations LLC are not eligible to win.
  • By submitting an entry, entrants agree to allow Urbani to publish their submitted recipes, without further compensation to entrant, in print or online media of any kind, with accreditation for the recipe given to the entrant and his/her affiliation.
  • Urbani warrants that it will not sell, distribute, or share entrants' information with any third party, except as noted above. Urbani may, from time to time, contact entrants with information relevant to Urbani products, unless requested not to do so by entrant.
  • DISCLAIMER: Urbani Truffle contest is governed by U.S. law. By entering, participants release Urbani, its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by any awarded prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use the winner's name, city, state, restaurant and likeness in conjunction with any promotion in connection to Urbani without further compensation to the winner. Further, by submitting an entry, all entrants, whether awarded a prize or not, agree to allow Urbani to publish their submitted recipes, without further compensation to entrant, in print or online media of any kind, with accreditation for the recipe given to the entrant and his/her affiliation. Prizes are non-transferable. No substitution of prizes or cash redemptions permitted by winners. Other restrictions may apply. In the event an entry or notification of award is compromised by computer viruses, bugs or other causes beyond the control of the sponsor that corrupts the administration, security or proper play of this contest, or in the event that the sponsor deems it necessary to solicit additional entries due to a lack of qualified applicants by the published deadline for submissions, Urbani reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or reopen the contest to further submissions, disregarding the original published deadline for submissions and award notification dates. No responsibility is assumed for incorrect capture of entry information including, but not limited to: malfunctions, human error, lost/delayed/garbled data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, failures of any telephone line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. All entries become the property of the sponsor and will not be returned. Void where prohibited by law.
  • Entrant warrants and represents that he/she is the true author and/or lawful owner of the full rights and title and/or copyright to the contents of their submission and hereby agrees to indemnify and/or hold harmless the contest sponsors, and their affiliates, including but not limited to Urbani and Colangelo & Partners Public Relations LLC, from any and all liabilities, suits, claims, actions, judgments and awards that may arise with respect to the authorship and/or ownership of their submission.
  • Entries will be judged solely at the discretion of a panel of judges chosen by Urbani.
  • Names of all prize winners will be published on the Urbani website.
  • Prizes will be delivered to the winner's address as submitted on the entry form.
  • All taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.
